The best microneedling serum for the treatment of pigmentation, hyperpigmentation and age spots!

The DERMIDA® Skin Tone Microneedle Serum is specifically designed to treat and actively regress melasma-related pigmentation spots, skin blemishes and hyperpigmentation in combination with a dermaroller or dermapen.

Its active ingredient complex of tranexamic acid blocks hyperpigmentation and inhibits enzymatic factors, providing a unique ability to depigment and treat skin blemishes.

The sterile, pharmaceutically pure serum is applied prior to treatment and then transdermally applied directly into the skin using a dermaroller or dermapen. The efficacy is exponentially increased by the microperforation.

An innovative complex of active ingredients with a powerful effect.

The treatment of pigmentary disorders due to melasma is one of the most difficult tasks of microneedling therapy. Melasma is a form of hyperpigmentation that involves a high accumulation of melanin that makes the affected area appear darker than the rest of the skin. This can occur overnight or build up slowly over several months. Melasma usually develops on the upper lip or forehead, sometimes on the cheeks, most commonly in women due to hormonal fluctuations.

To treat these symptoms, microneedling therapy uses the Anti-Pigment Spot Serum to control skin blemishes, which is based on 5% tranexamic acid. Tranexamic acid is an aminocarboxylic acid that blocks plasmin formation by inhibiting the proteolytic activity of plasminogen activators. This impedes the ability of plasmin to lyse fibrin. This 5%-Dosierung has been found to be ideal because it acts as a competitive plasmin inhibitor at low doses and as a non-competitive inhibitor at high doses.

Sophisticated down to the smallest detail! - Microneedle Skin Tone Imperfection Control

Besides the theory, we understand the importance of effective serum in practice. We have made a perfect conception of the product our task. Our serum for eye wrinkles, bags and dark circles comes in a soft amber glass to protect it from UV radiation.

It is designed as an injection container, sealed with a rubber stopper (septum) for piercing and an external aluminum foil seal to protect the partition and fix the rubber stopper.

We use a special high-tech rubber which closes automatically and completely after the cannula is pierced, so the serum remains sterile, uncontaminated and sealed for up to 2 years as if it has never been opened.

FAQ

How does a Microneedle serum work?

The essential added value of microneedling therapy as a non-ablative and minimally invasive cosmetic procedure lies in the low-risk, cost-effective and at the same time highly efficient treatment of aesthetic skin problems.

Example: Our skin is a natural protective mantle that acts as a barrier for creams and ointments. It is not only the largest organ of the human body, but its function and structure also protect us from external chemical, mechanical and thermal influences. However, it does not make a significant difference between useful active substances and harmful influences.

Conventional creams and serums try to reach or penetrate this barrier with so-called penetrators. With rather moderate success. Microneedle serum, on the other hand, has a "clear path", so to speak, since the skin channels (and thus the protective layer) open up during treatment. A large number of studies have meanwhile proven the increased effectiveness of serums in combination with a microneedling treatment. Thanks to specially formulated ingredients, serums can target problem areas. A pleasant side effect is the lubricating film formed by the often viscous serums, which acts like a cooling protective film between the microneedling device and the skin.

What is meant by transdermal, topical or sterile?

By Microneedle serum we mean a sterile active ingredient formulation specifically designed for topical and transdermal application directly to the skin during treatment with Dermapen or Dermaroller.

Topical means that the active ingredient is applied only to the appropriate area.

Transdermal means that the active ingredient is absorbed directly through the skin where it exerts its effect.

Sterile means that it is free from germs capable of reproduction, such as microorganisms and viruses. Serum is sterile only under strictly controlled, documented and certified pharmaceutically pure manufacturing conditions.

Working in with Dermaroller or Dermapen?

For the application and efficacy of sterile sera it is irrelevant whether they are applied with the Dermaroller or the Dermapen, both devices are equally suitable for transdermal application.

What is the use of sterile sera?

Apply serum with Dermapen or Dermaroller to cleansed and disinfected skin area.

How to remove the serum from the ampoule?

Currently, there are two types of sterile sera for microneedling:

1. Fracture ampoules

2. Penetrating ampoules

Break ampoules have a predetermined breaking point that must be opened (i.e., broken) for removal. They are not resealable, meaning the serum must be used up when applied.

Penetrating vials, on the other hand, are designed as injection containers. These reusable vials are sealed with a rubber stopper that has a piercing rubber (septum). In order to protect the septum and fix the rubber stopper, there is an additional external closure.

We use a special rubber that closes automatically and completely after the cannula is pierced. Thus, the serum is sterilely closed again, uncontaminated and usable for up to 2 years. It is as if the serum had never been opened. The syringe is pierced through the septum and pulled out with the serum. The additional needle can then be removed and the serum safely distributed over the affected skin area.

What should be considered when storing serum?

To ensure maximum efficacy of all active ingredients, most serums are supplied in light-tight amber glass or outer packaging. It should be stored away from sunlight and at temperatures between 15 °C and 25 °C. After initial collection, it is recommended that all sera in vials be stored in the refrigerator. Sera in vials should be used up completely after opening.

What is the shelf life of the serum once it has been opened?

When unopened, the expiry date is indicated on the packaging. As a rule, a sterile serum can be stored unopened for two years. Once opened, broken ampoules must be used up completely. Penetrating ampoules with a resealable septum are stable unchanged for a long time after sterile withdrawal, i.e. the expiry date does not change.
