It has also been shown that the use of lactoferrin can effectively reduce acne and skin inflammation.

Lactoferrin is a type of transferrin that transports iron into the cells and regulates the level of free iron in the blood and external secretions. It is found in milk, plasma and neutrophils of humans and other mammals and is one of the major proteins in almost all mammalian secretions (such as saliva, bile, tears and pancreas).

Studies have shown that lactoferrin is not only involved in the transport of iron, zinc and copper, but also regulates their absorption. The presence of free zinc and copper ions does not impair the ability of lactoferrin to bind iron, but can even increase it.

Arbutin
